You Have the Right to Remain Silent

Some employers are circulating a blacklist of college students who signed anti-Israel petitions with a view toward making them unemployable. What next?

    “What’s next?”

Right now, the topic is Israel/Gaza. It has recently been BLM, transgenderism, school shootings, vaccines, etc. The pattern is always the same: an internet-enabled crowd of “right thinkers” claim an emotional high ground and unilaterally ignore rationality or brand it as an oppressor weapon or some such thing. Anyone who tries to discuss the issue is branded a troll. With the “discussion” part of the discussion deactivated, all that’s left is for whichever side of hysterics that has the bigger/more powerful membership to harass all those who disagree out of existence.

In future? I think that in 15 years, everything will be in pieces. The fanatics are gaining more and more control. Look at the House speakership. Rational democrats would have kept McCarthy simply because it would have meant a defeat for the hysterics of the Republican Party. The hysterics wanted to shut the government down. When that failed? They shut the government down. The dems were the only ones who could have stopped it. Trump’s going to whip Biden like a pint of heavy cream in a cold metal bowl. And that means Trump will appoint more Supreme Court justices. He already got three (tied Reagan IIRC). He might get two more.
