Whether it’s build back better or a Supreme Court confirmation fight, there’s a certain set of Republicans in the Senate around Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney and Susan Collins who always tease the Democratic counterparts and the media that they might vote Democratic, but they never do.

It’s not the Dems themselves who are “Charlie Brown” to the GOP’s “Lucy.” Rather its their reliably gullible voters who fall for the Dem’s “oh, the evil GOP tricked us” ploy every time.
A non-senate version of this was observed during the depth of the “Russia/RTP***- Gate” ordeal as the Dems had us put our “hopes” into the machinations of a) an ever-changing list of GOP certified-scum who, we were to believe, wanted to bring down the presidency/party that was the very basis of their power … AND b) the deep state “intelligence community” that had given us decades of evidence of its treachery and total contempt for anything remotely related to “democracy”?!? Did I mention “gullible”?
It started with James Comey””” who literally weeks before had been public enemy #1 for having the nerve to impugn Hillary Clinton just before the 2016 election. Then came Robert “the fixer” Mueller^^^ who had given “gravitas” to the Cheney-Bush admin’s strategy of lies°°° to get the US into what is considered its worst foreign policy blunder (no mean feat that!!!) in Iraq. Then it drifted on to Mitch McConnell (if I need to introduce him then you probably can’t make out any of this) and then on to Bill Barr, Trump-appointed Attorney General who was magically going to reverse a life of political skulduggery to prove the Dems correct about Trump on Russia/RTP-gate.
Of course, Barr did nothing of the kind, but rather appointed John Durham to investigate the Dems themselves in regard their increasingly more evident Russia/RTP-gate hoax. A couple indictments have been announced. They so far have led directly to the H. Clinton campaign and the most recent involved Biden’s current National Security Advisor, Jake Skinner … who has been Biden front man in an apparent attempt to precipitate WWIII with Russia/RTP over Biden-family cash cow and certified US-destroyed state, the Ukraine … all a supremely reckless distraction from the Dems criminal fever dreams? The Romney line (“Don’t tell anyone … I identify as bipartisan”) is fantastic. I laughed out loud, which happens very rarely these days. I do wonder why so many people still tolerate the democratic party in its current incarnation. If I had the energy, I’d go down to D.C. and put up a booth “democratic Wallet Inspector” and see how many senators and representatives with a (d) after their names came running up.
