The United States has a habit of arming and funding sides in civil conflicts that later become enemies. Here we go in Ukraine, supporting a questionable government of a country Americans couldn’t find on a map two months ago.

Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine will be turned into a “big Israel” after the war ( https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/4/5/zelenskyy-says-wants-ukraine-to-become-a-big-israel ), meaning a military-first state with the implication that whatever is left of the banned Ukrainian communist party will be driven further underground, and good luck to any of the other Leftist parties. I do know that Gonzalo Lira, who was doing livestreams in Kharkiv (Kharkov) was captured by the SBU (Ukrainian secret police) and is now in a sort of house arrest, along with a number of Ukrainian dissident intellectuals around the country. Lira isn’t even Ukrainian, he’s Chilean-American! This has been a time of unmasking for both Ukraine and Russia; the invasion has proven what a capitalist/wannabe imperialist state Putin’s Russia really is while Ukraine’s historical devils (Stepan Bandera, his OUN-B, the UPA, etc.) are on public display. We are back to the Yugoslav civil wars of the 1990s and all their ethnic ugliness.
