It would seem that Mr Trump lacks the empathic abilities of a successful Mafia boss ; he seems to exhibit a practical solipsism in which others exist only in relation to him and his needs. In other words, a perfect representative of the US in world affairs….

Are we sure he didn’t? Manafort refused to sing. Then again, he might – possibly – allegedly – perhaps – maybe – already have similar guarantees from The Dastardly Russian Mafia ™.
While Trump values loyalty, he isn’t so generous with his own. Earlier he was signalling his goons that he might pardon them … but at this point he’d just be adding nails to his own coffin. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t, damned if it doesn’t make for some damn fine entertainment. 😉
