The Future Is Branded

Why does the Trump-Pence campaign keep selling swag online, even after winning the presidency? From the mind that gave you Trump Air and Trump Steaks, here comes Trump’s highly branded America.

  • Why else would a billionaire spend millions of dollars of his own money to get a job that pays a measly 400K? Anyone who didn’t see that one coming really needs a session with a cluebat.

So, anyway – I googled the image above. It appears to be a 24K gold Christmas ornament – now trending on eBay for $185, even tho Trump’s own site sells it at 99$. Once again the Trump Chumps fail to do their homework. The site also claims that it’s 100% American made, and hey, when has Trump ever lied in order to make a profit?

My search also turned up the amazing Donald Trump Butt Plug. I wish I found it before I finished my Christmas shopping…

  • «Make Gitmo great again !» – loved it, Ted ! If we survive the coming four years, you’re not going to lack for material !…

The Trump brand. A big part of advertising is trust. I don’t think many of Trump’s supporters “trust” him anywhere near as much as they “believe” he will do what he said. The reason I say that is because Trump didn’t promise a bunch of bland Clintonesque BS about vague promises and hope and change. Trump’s supporters voted for him for a simple reason: they are — rightly or not — fed up. They want things FIXED.

Remember the scene in Shawshank Redemption where the warden discovers Andy Dufresne is not in his cell? And the warden gets pissed. “I want him found. Not tomorrow. Not after breakfast. Now!”

It’s like that. Trump’s supporters want things to happen starting on the First Day. If he doesn’t come through, he’s in for some heavy duty grief because some of the people who voted him in? This was their last stop on the way down. Donald Trump had that absolutely right: the middle class is going away, and the people who are supposed to be stopping it are not doing their jobs.

And as a further example of how far up Shit Creek we all are, here’s one of the standard fearmonger stories the media is cranking out with such alacrity. (http://www.rawstory.com/2016/12/keith-olbermann-while-trump-creates-chaos-banana-republicans-will-steal-your-social-security/). The piece basically says that Trump’s behavior is there to distract the media and everyone to what the 1% is up to: stealing the rest of us blind.

Think about that for a second. Really think about it. Olbermann is warning us about how a buncha people are plotting to screw us all over and then tells us that the media will be too distracted to spot it and keep the reporting focused on it. What does that say about the media? And everyone keeps going on about Trump being the problem? I don’t think so.

I suppose it would be mean-spirited to inquire for just whom that presidency will prove to be such an opportunity….

    • If Kankles had won the coronation, she would inherit a war-mongering Democrat political infrastructure already tuned and ready-to-skull-fuck. On the other hand, anything T-rump wants to rape us with has to be initiated from scratch (or at least much closer to scratch). Hillary would have had the entire Soros-infected Democratic party silently empowering her. On the other hand, Trump does not have any real kind of a “united” Republican party behind him. EVERYBODY is paying attention to the least circumstance he’s involved with. Billary would have rolled over us. The new kid on the block? Not nearly as much.

Lesser-evil political king-making at its most intricate.

    • Not that I held Olbermann in any esteem before, but he’s the guy who called Trump Putin’s puppet and a “Russian whore.”

  • Presumably, the money is for counterprop, since that is what the site says. Mr. Trump is just as under siege as he was during the campaign and will be undermined at every opportunity as president. He’ll have to get his own message out as always because the media sure won’t help him.
