Regardless of how you feel about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the fact that Congress quickly allocated $13.5 billion for military aid to a country which is not even an American ally while over half a million Americans are sleeping outside should make us reconsider our national priorities.

Of course, if we all had healthcare that didn’t
1. treat us like cattle
2. screw us with co-pays and out-of-networks
3. and which included mental health treatment and evaluation
we wouldn’t have all that many homeless people to need $25K in the first place (and two dozen New Yorkers might not have gotten shot yesterday).
The Russian response to the US invasion, coup, and positioning of the US-armed NATO puppets in Ukraine, in order to enable a clean bloodless kill (bloodless only for NATO) is the initiating act of aggression.
US behavior against Russia has been atrocious.
When two people point weapons at each other there is no reason to trust words.
Actions speak louder than words.
Words are but a whisper and your deafness a shout.
What is Imperialism? The notion of the powerful that if their desires cause many millions to die, or live in abject misery, at home and abroad, so be it! “It is obviously worth it” … especially when such insignificant collateral damage (direct and indirect) occurs as result of glorious campaigns to get control of, and make BIG profits from, the assets and resources of other countries. Thus, imperialism is the rule of lethal parasites in human form over their human subjects. (Note, various similarities of corporate vs. biological personhood.)
Kudos to falco!
Brilliant. Thank you!
If we spent money on housing the homeless, feeding the hungry and providing healthcare for the sick, we wouldn’t need to spend trillions on a military industrial complex that has nothing to do with defense and an empire that will turn to dust the second we no longer threaten the whole world.
