Liberal media outlets and many liberal politicians are urging Republicans to nominate Florida governor Ron DeSantis instead of former president Donald Trump. They say he is just as right-wing as Trump but more electable. Then why would Democrats want to run against him?

There are still people — I don’t know how — who genuinely, truly, in their very special souls believe that the democrats really are, truly and for real, honest to goodness, concerned about the Masses (Unwashed). The Clintons, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and the lesser players, as well as a lot of the media, don’t “care” about any of this in the same way that most of us don’t “care” about how we get all our nice things, just so long as the sweatshops and the child laborers are not part of our day-to-day experience. So, why back DeSantis over Trump? Because DeSantis, just like Clinton, Obama, Biden, Pelosi, etc., etc., will stick to the company script. Trump’s erratic behavior is bad for brand.
