Police Lives Matter

When police officer Charles Gliniewicz was found dead, right-wingers blamed Black Lives Matter for creating an atmosphere in which it was open season on cops. Then it turned out he was corrupt, an embezzler, and had staged his suicide to look like he’d died while on duty.

  • Will it ever be OK to question the integrity of police officers so their violence can be considered and measured on the same scale as other mere mortal, non-superhumans, who are not to be idolized and worshiped?

What in the end will it take to restore public sanity and reason when dealing with police?

    • Take away their guns? šŸ˜€

If nothing else, it would go a long ways towards restoring sanity and reason in the police force.

      • Ā«Take away their guns? :-)Ā» An excellent idea, CrazyH – but I’m not entirely sure that the NRA, not to mention the police Ā«fraternal organisationsĀ» will agree….

  • Its OK when the cops dump on Blacks (and Ted), but when they disappoint their worshipful adoring mass fan base, the fans act like brides jilted at the altar.

  • Money comin’ outta his arse. YESH!!!

  • All human lives matter, no less even that Black lives continue to matter at least as much. But where does the meme “My cops, right or wrong” really begin? AT THE POLICE UNION. To the corporately enslaved of America’s police union industrial complex, first and foremost, ONLY cop-lives matter, regardless as to whether or not those cops are also child-molesting, grandmother-raping, non-cop-murdering whorshippers-of-Satan. To the fascist cop-class, only jack-boot lives matter. Cop unions are what the Knights Templar used to be, but with a super-hero brand of Devil as its ultimate deity.

And I’m talking about a quasi-military industrial cop type of complex that controls BILLIONS-OF-DOLLARS in property, stocks, and loads of “dark” money. Next to and allied with AIPAC, it can buy off virtually any politician in America, and most of the rest of the world. This is a pseudo-public-services union alliance that the Republicans shiver most in fear of.

Cop unions, an Al Capone on nuclear steroids brand of criminal enterprise.

  • I live near the town where this a-hole worked. Every day more things come out about this guy – but the one thing that nobody is talking about is the cover up. To me it was obvious when it happened that something fishy was going on. First, why would an experienced cop refuse backup and give a meaningless description of the suspects he was going after? “Two white guys and a black guy” – yeah, and if they split up the suspect list is essentially anyone who isn’t female. Second, why the massive over-reaction by having 400 cops from all over the area join in a hunt for the suspects when they had no idea who they were looking for? And they kept it to a very small area, with he statement that the suspects could not have left the area – why, did all cars suddenly vanish into thin air? They could of been in Wisconsin by the time the cops got their posse together. Third, rumors of this being a suicide and of his bad behavior started surfacing within a couple days and everybody involved insisted he was murdered until the very end two months later…and some of these people had to know that he was under investigation for stealing money. There was a cover up and everyone involved should be fired, loose their pension, and go to jail.

The more I see of cops the better gangbangers look. At least gangbangers don’t demand that taxpayers pay them a salary, fund a generous pension, and don’t threaten to go on strike when law makers talk about creating a law to protect the citizenry from the actions of the police. Or whine like little babies when they get caught.

  • Geez Ted, Why buy into or get into this crap? Yes – It’s an issue, but it’s also a dead horse and preaching to the choir here on your website. What do I want? I want to see journalism or whatever passes for it nowadays to focus on the complete eradication of anything that used to pass for democracy in the USA .
