The non-democratic operation of the “Democratic” Party has been validated in the decision of the court in the case brought by Sanders’s supporters against the DNC as a result of the 2016 campaign.
The “Democratic” Party did not deny the charges of rigging primary elections against Sanders but took the (KKKarl) Rovian tactic of insisting that it is not a government entity and therefore has no obligation to deal fairly with its candidates much less its members.
The court decided in favor of the “Democratic” Party so its decidedly non-democratic behavior is protected by law.
The decision has been appealed to the SCOTUS. The attorneys for the Sanders supporters estimate that there is a 1% chance the case will be heard. Even if it were heard, there is a 0% chance the lower court ruling would be challenged in any way. Fascist judges in … fascist rulings out.
Loved that third frame, Ted – «Do I look like a car ?» 🙂 Did that guard make it up on his own, or do the Republicans hire speechwriters ?…

Ever notice how countries and organisations that call themselves “Democratic”aren’t? Some examples, German Democratic Republic, The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, or Democratic Republic of Congo. Totalitarians tend to like to call themselves “democratic”.
I am reminded of the scene from one of the Bugs Bunny cartoons where, in the middle of his hijinks, he breaks the fourth wall and says, “I must be dreaming, it couldn’t be this easy.”
The democrats have run a primary season to end all primary seasons (metaphorically and literally). They’ve sent people out to vote in the middle of a pandemic, then, fearful that in late June things could still be bad, cancelled the New York primary two months early. No mail-in option, no nothing. Just canceled it. But, somehow, they still think that the Berniecrats and the independents are going to vote for Joe Biden?
Meanwhile, back at the Batcave, Joe Biden is mismanaging the response to Tara Reade’s accusation spectacularly. Most people have to struggle to screw up as much as Biden. But it seems to come naturally to him. Like sleep.
The dems are also doing their share, botching the response to the COVID-19 epidemic handily. All that’s missing is a clip of Nancy Pelosi kicking a peasant in the throat while Hillary Clinton drinks a cup filled with children’s tears. (Her usual 4 p.m. restorative, I hear.)
And we’re all gonna pretend that, somehow, Donald Trump is going to lose? Never underestimate apathy. Biden will not get out the vote. Everyone in the middle will, pretty much, stay home.
I, for one, will be voting Green Party. I will be glued to the set, watching the stunning, vacant faces of all the media wonks. “But, how could Biden lose? How could Biden, an uninspiring, quasi-senile, serial liar, with years of footage of him groping women, have lost to Trump? It’s unpossible.”
A: I come to bring you democracy.
B: What you bring is not democracy.
A: Are you then the enemy of democracy? I will kill democracy’s enemies.
B: Long live whatever exists under the name of democracy.
A: You may now live. Isn’t life sweet under democracy?
B: Yes. Life is sweet.
Looks like the outline of a three act play:
“Waiting for Democracy”
Elles accouchent à cheval sur une tombe, le jour brille un instant, puis c’est la nuit à nouveau….
