Kamala Harris is pushing the tactic of copying a rival’s policy ideas to new levels. She copied Trump’s idea to get rid of taxes on tips, increase tariffs on China and even to build a border wall with Mexico. What next?

“Given the choice between a Republican and someone who acts like a Republican, people will vote for the real Republican every time” — often attributed to President Harry S. Truman.
On CNN this morning, they were doing the standard propaganda gimmickry of focusing only on the positives about Harris. Genuinely, I am stunned at the level of self-delusion various democrats are engaged in. Harris is locked in a dead heat against Trump. Her numbers have not gone up.
I see only five more inflection points for this campaign season. Today. Harris is releasing her economic plan. In about a week, the debate. Soon after, Trump’s sentencing. At some point, based on the inner-circle numbers, the dnc may order Joe Biden to resign, in hopes of getting a boost for Harris. On Trump’s side, the numbers are pretty clear: If he replaces Vance with JFK Jr., it will probably hand him the presidency, but he has to figure out a plausible way to get Vance out of the way.
In nationwide polls, Kamala is ahead by about 3%, so it is at least 90% certain she’ll win the popular vote.
And if Judge Marchan does the right thing, gaols Trump and says he is not allowed on any ballots, she’ll do even better. No time for an appeal, the dimmycrats will say ‘No time for another candidate!’ Not clear how well she’ll do running unopposed. A few write-in votes against her, a few votes for fringe candidates.
I don’t know how Merchan could take Trump off the ballots. But even if such an event is possible, I don’t see any version of reality in which it happens. Not only would the Supreme Court almost instantly issue a 9-0 ruling in favor of Trump, the American Bar Association and even the lawyers who hate Trump’s guts — from alimentary to anus — will back him too.
…and, by dint of guaranteeing victory by jailing her opponent, Ms. Harris will become not only our first female President, but the first President of the Banana Republic of the United States of America! Truly a win-win situation!
