In their relief and excitement about getting rid of Joe Biden as their nominee, Democrats are forgetting all about Kamala Harris’ demonstrated weaknesses as a candidate in the most recent election cycle.

Ever since the Left turned it’s collective back on Ted, we’ve gotten these strawmen. Here we go, Ted, Harris is another centrist Dem. She’s leaning into her prosecution record, bragging in her ads about her conviction rate. And yes, the one area where she has not yet picked up full steam in the polls is with younger people. Despite what you and Stanti contend on your podcast the rest of the year, this race is over. trumpster fire and Mini Him will not be able to overcome the “weird” tag. It’s over.
My suspicion for why Harris will lose this? First, her whole “I’m not Trump” shtick. The people who’ll vote for Harris aren’t going to change their minds because of who she picks to be her veep. She’s going to have to get out there and sell her accomplishments as veep. Yeah. Ever sell matchsticks in Hell?
Second, she picked Walz. The story we’re being fed is one of “chemistry.” As in “My first two choices declined.” The math here isn’t hard. If Trump wins Pennsylvania, he’ll likely win the Electoral College. Arizona is also in play. Wisconsin, with the fewest Electoral College votes of the three, is not in play.
Josh Shapiro, even with baggage, was the best play. I bet he took the long view. Losing to Trump in a squeaker? Not a good look. Kelly? A little over a decade ago, his wife, Gabby Giffords, got shot in the head. A month ago, Trump got clipped too. I think Kelly just thought it through and decided that his wife and his job in Arizona meant more to him than running for veep on a shaky ticket and maybe catching a bullet in his face from a MAGA lunatic.
The plurality of pod people in the Kamala Krowd is simply another cult of personality, just like with Trump’s supporters. The deciding factors this time, just like usual: the state of the economy (the real state — as in, can I find a job, am I making enough money) and illegal immigration. I’m gonna call it for Trump, by a very narrow margin.
