A standard tactic for President Trump is to say something aggressively insane and then if it doesn’t go over well, pretend that he is simply just joking. I’m sure other historical figures would have loved to have deployed such a ridiculous tactic.

Not all jokes are funny – some which have consequences in human lives don’t quite make the grade….

Really though, pound for pound, syllable for syllable, are Trump’s utterances really that much more objectionable than things uttered by other politicians? Aren’t his acts, more or less, about the same as far as obscenity? Gitmo’s still open. No bankers were ever indicted for the 2007 mortgage crisis. Edward Snowden still can’t present a defense because the whole set of rules prevents it; if he returns, he’s walking into a courtroom where the only verdict he can get is “guilty”). Barack Obama still hasn’t had a drink of Flint’s lead-flavored water. Bill Clinton sold out the middle class with NAFTA. Pretty much every single politician tells me I don’t need, want, or deserve universal healthcare.
And, I have been told, today is the start of Eviction Season. I can’t wait to see and hear what the politicians do and say. What will both sides of Hillary Clinton’s mouth say? I’m dying to know …
The red pill represents an uncertain future—it would free him from the enslaving control of the machine-generated dream world and allow him to escape into the real world, but living the “truth of reality” is harsher and more difficult. On the other hand, the blue pill represents a beautiful prison—it would lead him back to ignorance, living in confined comfort without want or fear within the simulated reality of the Matrix. As described by Morpheus: “You take the blue pill…the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill…you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”
The blue pill world is being encroached upon by the red pill world.
It’s getting harder for some to continue ignoring red pill realty.
Glenn, throw this into the mix. Epstein’s girlfriend/procurer Ghislaine Maxwell just got arrested. Assuming — a big assumption, I admit — that she lives long enough to testify, what names do you think she’s spill details about (and have the evidence to back up the claims)? Bill Clinton? Prince Andrew? Hunter Biden? Donald Trump?
Depending on how far into the political sphere the sickness ran, it may actually turn off so many independent voters that it will give Trump a victory.
Hell. I may just take both pills and call my doctor in the morning.
Hitler suicided in his bunker when his failure was imminent.
Looks like Trump is trying to suicide himself, along with his followers and as many others as he can, by prescribing going maskless, not social distancing, drinking bleach and Lysol, etc..
I don’t think Trump can bear to have his failures made so public that even his former true-believer-crowds will no longer show up for him in numbers that enable his own belief in his fakey self.
Asked about ending Federal support for testing, tRump explicitly said, “I don’t kid.”
As aggressively stupid as he is, there’s no way his entire staff actually believe not testing actually lowers the number of infections. This is a deliberate and direct assault on the notion of a reality beyond partisan posturing.
