Maybe it won’t be so bad. I hear Michael Moore is predicting Trump will resign.
I can’t remember what happened in ’33. I vaguely recall that all of Western Europe saw Stalin as a big, almost unstoppable threat, and were very glad that the Germans elected someone who might prove an impregnable bulkhead against the spread of Communism. Even if (as most expected) he failed, he might give the French and British a little more time to prepare their defences.
The idiot Churchill wanted the UK to demand regime change in Germany because their new Chancellor wanted to abrogate the treaty of Versailles, but, of course, he HAD to abrogate Versailles if he were to stop (or at least impede) Stalin’s advances.
(It’s not altogether clear to me what, exactly, having the world Trumped will stop, other than any efforts to ameliorate climate change, a change every oil (and coal) person considers worse than Stalinism.)
And again, this comic does not appear on gocomics or in the newspapers that get their comics from gocomics. What’s happening?
