Everybody Loves Joe

Democrats who were urging President Joe Biden to step aside from his reelection campaign in the interest of the party and defeating Donald Trump frequently pointed out or argued that he is a good, kind, decent and compassionate man. The text is almost boilerplate. The people of Gaza, on the other hand, might disagree.

The hagiography surrounding Joe Biden has been … words fail me. Stupendous. Obscene. Delusional. I’m seeing the same psychosis around Kamala Harris right now. Just like I saw a similar collective hallucination concerning Hillary Clinton’s inevitability a while back. The phenomenon is short-lived usually. And when we get back to the question of word-salad speeches, Harris has some that put George W. Bush to shame.

Trump’s supporters aren’t dropping him. I am still convinced the winner will be whichever candidate makes the second-to-last big mistake.

  • Yep, Joe failed here.

  • Not only that, but, just as it’s Antisemitic to criticize Israel, it’s racist and sexist to criticize VP Harris. Such criticisms should be prosecuted as hate crimes!

  • In Grapes of Wrath John Steinbeck had Tom Joad in an aside of the bedlam sigh, “Above all, O Lord, keep me very far away from the truly good and decent.”
