Biden’s defenders brush off his support for right-wing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s carpet-bombing of Gaza, which has killed tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians. There can only be one reason why.

“You Can’t Be A ‘Lesser Evil’ When You’re Sponsoring A Genocide”
– Caitlin Johnstone –

I am reminded of one of Ed Wuncler’s more telling lines from “The Boondocks” animated series: “That’s right, every morning I wake up and put one foot on the ground and the other up the ass of a 12-year-old Indonesian girl.” Just about the totality of American policy, foreign and domestic, can be apprehended by realizing that it isn’t quite so much “don’t care about brown children” as “don’t care, regardless of color or age.” The entire system runs on the premise that the greediest and most heartless people rise to the top, and, for them, the rest of us are simply product.
Why is this the case? Because the people in the bottom 99% of the pyramid, frankly, are far too often too damned short-sighted and stupid to comprehend the grand design and stop it. Look at the democratic party. I mean, seriously, look. The only way I can look at the party’s rank-and-file now is through some psychosexual framework whereby a substantial percentage of the electorate craves being mistreated. “I’m a bad boy. I don’t deserve health care. Oh, Joe. Eat that ice cream while I go bankrupt trying to come up with rent.”
