President Donald Trump appears to be plotting a coup d’état to keep himself in office despite having lost the election. What exactly will that mean?

So it looks like, um, Biden is just possibly gonna get himself those 50 seats in the Senate. Big deal. Biden won’t be able to do anything. Does anyone in Washington (or elsewhere) really think the dems are going to be united? What are these pundits smoking and where do I get some? What we now have is a situation — again, assuming Trump doesn’t pull something — where any single democrat in the Senate can block any particular piece of legislation because every single vote is needed. The amount of transactional bribery that will go on behind the scenes to get mediocre bills passed with be staggering.
If I were Bernie Sanders, I’d point that out to my “good friend” Joe Biden. Because if I were Bernie Sanders, this is going to be my only chance to get anything effective done. Totally give the party the same middle finger they’ve been giving the middle class for 40 years. My way or the highway.
well, I guess we saw today! it may have been the stupidest coup attempt ever — stupidity seems baked into the MAGA nation — but we now know what a coup — or putsch, as some think would be a better phrase — looks like in 2021
The Brooks Brothers Riot stopped the vote count in 2000, with George W Bush taking the presidency under the governorship of Jeb Bush.
History rhymes and repeats.
