I’ve been watching the ads. A big thing they focus on is how bad the economy is. Wait? Wasn’t this the same economy that Joe Biden was doing such a great job with? Even more alarming though is how readily everyone (on the left) is simply ignoring that detail.

Look at the situation on the ground. The media ducks any awkward questions aimed at Harris. I’ve got to take Trump’s side on this one — that phone definitely doesn’t look connected to those headphones. And I, too, would love to know how long she worked at McDonald’s for that one summer — the whole summer, four shifts, not at all?

Every holiday, the Lindt people and the Godiva people and the other chocolatiers out there crank out a bunch of chocolates shaped like turkeys, Santas, bunnies, etc. And they come it two types: the solid and the hollow. And the hollow ones are always a disappointment. I don’t know exactly what to call Trump’s filling (unadulterated bullshit with a dollop of racism) but at least it’s solid — all the way through.

  • Yeah but you know, Obama was the same way and he was pretty great! So says all the people on the left bragging about the stock market, confirmed by my 401k balances. Establishment Democrats for the win! Do young people still say that?

The point is accurate, but I will ask for clarification. Do you think all that growth in the stock market came from “fair” sources? My suspicion is that a lot of it came on the backs of the poor and the lower-middle class. “You want a raise? Sorry, we have to make sure the stockholders are happy. So, how about no raises, and we’ll lay off only 20 people (this time)?”

So, sure, some people did well. But when you weight it all out? My thinking is that the same people who are doing “great” will eventually get hit with a huge disruption due to the economic disruptions that can be reset only by massive reapportionments to social programs (which won’t happen). Enjoy driving the beemer down to the supermarket that has almost nothing on the shelves and mobs of hungry people prowling the parking lot for a chance to steal your bag of groceries with the loaf of French bread sticking out the top.

      • What? Number go up. Beyond that, don’t care. I’m pretty sure the poor people didn’t do nearly as well? Yay Obama!!!

  • I appreciate your humor, abducens, and your relentless honesty, alex, but I have noticed a different economic message coming out of the Dems–“Hey, the stock market is doing great, so we’re all doing great!” When it shows up in a friend’s social media posts, I do my best to puncture it, which mostly just seems to generate resistance. Ted is right. Harris voters have been so conditioned by their exposure to MSM that they don’t care who she is, as long as she’s not Trump. “Genocide perp? Flesh-eating alien? No problem!”

  • Do people care about policies? Is not the only policy of “no Trump” is a great policy in all details than verbose boring plans? Beyond the elite media folks who would waste days of ‘intellectual’ useless discussions. The common voters are correct to never mind about detailed policies, as the policies and plans never materialize, in the same way as spoken during campaigns.

This presidential vote is on one question: Want a Trump regime or not? It is the choice between rapid decay or slow decay. In slow decay, there may be a chance for a new leadership emerging in 10-20 years to save the country. Rapid decay may also take same or longer more miserable time during when people have to live with immoral and trouble making judiciary.

Please take it Ted, no policy needs to be explained.

Trump and Vance say, “pet eating immigrants” and you are now calling Harris a human eating alien. Great! I never thought you might think this way, however hollow and flip flop she is. Be creative.
