You know, Ted, it occurs to me that you could provide some resistance to the Trump administration instead of constantly dumping on the Democrats and waiting for someone else to take on the mantle.
I have drawn and written hundreds of cartoons and columns criticizing Trump. I’ve written an entire book criticizing Trump. (I assume you bought before whinging.) I’m about to publish a book calling for building a Left for resistance outside the useless Democrats. If I can do more, I’m all ears!

A lot of the left-leaning public sees Trump as the Gorgon. But that’s them seeing only the part they want to. Look at the democratic leadership and don’t be afraid. Pretend each one was a Republican. Really put the critical eye to them. They suck. I see a bunch of doofuses. From the ladies at the auction holding up sign-paddles to the lone wolf with her sign as the president walked into Congress (“This is not normal” — surprise, someone ripped it out of her hands and threw it on the floor) to imbeciles dressing in pink, all the “resistance” is useless. Chuck Schumer trying to act tough is like Jim Nabors being cast as the Terminator.
I saw one person putting up real resistance. Rep. Al Green had to be removed from the chamber when he interrupted. If the democrats had a single brain cell, they’d have all done the same — at intervals. Green gets dragged away. The speech continues. Three seconds later, the next person stands up and starts disrupting. Trump has to stop again. Three seconds later …
Play it out in your mind. What would Donald J. Trump, Supreme Egotist, have done? He would have lost his mind. He might, literally, have had a nervous breakdown then and there. He’s a bully who shakes kids down for their milk money. And when one kid puts up a fight, the bully beats the hell out of him. When the whole class puts up a fight, the bully goes home crying with a split lip and a blackened eye.
The dem brand is fatally flawed. Much of the media is part of that brand. The only people who can fix the problem aren’t willing to fight and suffer and die for the rank and file of the democratic party. Not if they have to fight them every single step of the way.
Yep. First step in creating a saner America is getting people to understand that “the Democratic Party” is not going to save them. After all, the Democrats were so clueless in 2016 that they promoted Trump’s candidacy because they thought he’d be the easiest Republican for Hillary to beat, and the party is still run by the people who made that decision and their appointed heirs.
How can it possibly be considered an issue to critique the Dem Party’s quality of “resistance” after it and its president funded the first year and 3 months of the Holocaust of our times and all but one of its caucus wildly cheered the genocidal general manger of that ongoing atrocity in a joint session of congress in “the people’s house”?
You know what you’ll never see Ted do, grab a gun to conduct a fight.
