Democrats and Republicans may be polarized along tribal lines. But they share common ground on their feelings about the media, big business and the government. We hate them.

Well, whatever’s coming — and you’d have to be intellectually insane to think some serious realignment isn’t coming — having Trump in office will probably be of little actual difference from having had Kamala Harris in office. Neither will be able to/would have been able to cope with the crisis.
Apparently the almost 60 year-old official offer of the alternative by them filthy, prevert, commie hippies wasn’t open ended?
Such silliness was deemed so weak and unrealistic that media, business and government (congress, organized religion, etc.?) seemed compelled to demonstrate their toughness by initiating and escalating much more than their “fair share” of hating ever since.
It’s like the widely publicized notion of respect for one another violently reawakened the essential, execrable, exceptionalist cretin of the ruling elite.
It’s not hate, it’s tough love.
As one of the filthy, prevert, pot-addled, psychedeliicized, commie hippies who not only made the offer but devoted my life to creating saner alternatives, let me explain the matter.
It’s not that the offer isn’t open-ended. It’s that, back then, the change would have been much easier. As time has moved on, the window of opportunity has been shrinking. We could still switch paths and head for a saner world, but it will be much diminished from what we could have had if our offer, and our efforts, had not been cointelpro’d and dismissed as silly.
song: “Who’s Sorry Now” (the “All You Need Is (Dr. Strange) Love” ending)
I used to be of a “rose colored glasses” view of things. “That could never happen…” was my thought process all the time. I have felt lately that humanity is locked in a bizarre sort of loop where everything is bad, no one is fit to lead, every institution is corrupt and nothing can ever be done that doesn’t ruin life for everyone. It’s like we crossed some threshold where everything is bleak and any gains are short cavitation bubbles that pop up and collapse. If you’re lucky or corrupt and lucky enough to be wealthy and sequestered you’ll be healthier and have a slightly less tortured existence. If not, it really doesn’t matter in the big picture.
