Hamas to Israel: Thank You, We’ll Have Another

Israel says it wants to eliminate Hamas specifically, and radical Islamism generally, in Gaza. Ironically, its war against the Gaza Strip, in which the vast majority of victims are innocent civilians, will only serve to recruit a bigger generation of angry Palestinians to the anti-occupation resistance.

15,000 dead Gazans. Where’s Israel getting its weapons and its socialized medicine? The United States. And we’ve been tampering with the base code for decades now. Look at Henry Kissinger. In any sane, just, humane civilization, he would have been put in chains back in 1969 when he bombed Cambodia (3 million dead at least), sent to The Hague for trial, and, if found guilty, put in Spandau Prison for the remainder of his life or hanged from his neck until dead right after the appeal was denied. For 50 years, his crimes were known. Was he shunned? He got book deals.

  • As with USAkraine, USreal has no rational plan for bringing this irrational course of action to an end. They will never be able to threaten and bully their neighbors into not being angry about being threatened and bullied.

  • I hate to go two-sides-ism on you, but it is also the case that the attacks against Israel serve to increase the number of Israeli militants. Together they are a vicious cycle spiraling out of control.

While these guys with weapons keep going at it, the rest of us need to implement a two-state solution. If we first wait until we have stopped the guys with weapons, we’ll never get started.

  • The background that very few people are aware of is that, when the British took over Palestine after WWI, they started confiscating land from the Palestinians and giving it to European Zionists who wanted (quite presciently, as it turned out) to get out of Europe. The Brits did this in a number of their colonies. (Remember “Rhodesia”?) . Anyway, Palestinian resentment and Israeli entitlement go back a long way. How long can Israel hold off the people it dispossessed? I’ve been racking my brains for a peaceful way out, but can’t seem to find one. Any possibility of a “two-state solution” has been destroyed by Israel’s aggressive construction of settlements in Palestinian territory and its equally aggressive destruction of Palestinian settlements to clear the way for the Zionist settlements. I really hope this doesn’t turn into more of a blood bath than it is already.
