The US is being mocked for having spent $83 billion to train and equip a modern and efficient army in Afghanistan that cut and run at the first sign of being challenged by the Taliban.

1) Let us remember that this is NOT the first time that a “modern and efficient army”-building project has failed miserably. Can the >$trillion per year (“on budget”) perpetual war machine learn anything?
2) What is the term that is (6 trillion/83 billion) = 72-times as derisive as “mocked”?
3) What is the name of the economic system that spends $6 trillion to confiscate $1 trillion in resources?
However, if the Taiban chose to keep and use the American made weapons and equipment, the Great Military Industrial Complex will make a fortune selling them replacement units and spare parts purchased with American humanitarian aid.
I wonder how many American-trained soldiers went over to the Taliban.
I don’t think the U.S. is being mocked for spending $83 billion. I think the U.S. is being mocked for spending $83 billion on an unwinnable war, depending on Pakistan (a wholly unreliable “ally”) for intel and assistance, thinking the Afghan army was comprised entirely or even mostly of people whose main motive was anything other than a steady paycheck and the chance to get some weapons, and Biden’s completely unforced error of leaving when we did (and in such a Three Stooges/Clouseau fashion).
I know I’m laughing. When I’m not getting teary-eyed over all the human misery Biden’s caused. That rotten so and so.
