Some progressives are planning to vote for Joe Biden in order to send a very specific message. Unfortunately, the powers that be do not read minds.

Or, as they used to say in Hollywood, «if you have a message, call Western Union»…. 😉

Pre-election, clear, unmistakable, incontrovertible messages from ol’ Joe (neo Jim Crow) Biden:
a) vote for someone else
b) I beat the socialists
c) nothing fundamental will changed.
One must be highly skeptical of campaign promises that paint a candidate politically anywhere to the left of Attila the Hun. But when a candidate messages anything equal to, or, increasingly, WORSE than ol’ Attila, then one can be absolutely sure of the sincere and focused intent of the candidate.
Of course, Harris will probably be the actual president for the 4-year term, IF there is one, and she is perhaps politically worse, if not as well-proven such, than ol’ pant-load Grumbledorf.
I get it, Ted, but I still will vote for Biden because it’s all we’ve got. Voting for anyone else also won’t send a message that would be received. How many millions voted for Bernie – twice – and the DNC just is incapable of getting it. But I have to flip the bird to Trump and all his supporters somehow, and that would be to elect “the worst candidate in presidential history” in their faces. Biden will be terrible, no doubt, but in the meantime we vote in progressives in all other congressional races every chance we get. Then, if history has taught us anything, in about 30-50 years we’ll start to get real change.
Seriously do not do this. Watch Lawence ODonnnell explain why:

“Then, if history has taught us anything, in about 30-50 years we’ll start to get real change.”
Then it’s apparent that history has taught you nothing.
«Then, if history has taught us anything, in about 30-50 years we’ll start to get real change.» I fear, Kent, that if we – H sapiens sapiens – have to wait three decades or more for «real change», that change will be the extinction of our species….

Choosing between a Democratic or Republican candidate is like choosing between a plastic or paper sack, either way, Special Interest wins and you’re left holding the bag. Vote Quimby!
Not getting the message? How about this:
1. What percentage of Trump voters are “hidden” — that is, not admitting they’re voting for him but then go and vote for him?
2. How much in the MSM underreporting Trump popularity in an attempt to kneecap him a la Sanders by the dnc?
3. What, state by state, will be the alteration to the final numbers due to Republican scheming and willful interruption?
4. How many states simply will not be able to finish their vote counts?
In Arthur C. Clarke’s “2001” (I may have mentioned this earlier), he points out that safeguards are usually designed to work with the assumption that they are not being intentionally, deliberately circumvented. All the prognosticating I see keeps coming back to an assumption that both sides want a “fair” fight. Neither does. The dems don’t care about the progressives, they surely don’t care about the poor, and they never will. The Republicans simply want to win, and they are already planning how to disrupt everything from Election Day onward.
Let’s reconsider Trump’s chances in that light. I get the feel that it is a lot lot lot closer than the MSM wants to admit.
Again, correct. The Trump plan is for GOP states not to certify their electoral votes on time (12/14), triggering the 12th Amendment. The more they dither, the better for the Republicans.
Message sent is not message received.
Great cartoon, Ted.
Vote for Biden or the dog gets it.
