She Was Never Going To Let Herself Become President

The Democratic Party has filed a lawsuit against the Republican party, WikiLeaks, and Russia. They blame everyone accept the candidate herself for her dismal performance against a disorganized and unhinged Republican candidate. If they were honest with themselves, they would see that her failure to move to the left or to accommodate the Bernie Sanders people led to her inevitable defeat.

      Wellesley Commencement Speech (2017)

As the history majors among you here today know all too well, when people in power invent their own facts and attack those who question them, it can mark the beginning of the end of a free society. That is not hyperbole. It is what authoritarian regimes throughout history have done. They attempt to control reality. Not just our laws and our rights and our budgets, but our thoughts and beliefs.

  • “They” let a black man become president. I was pleasantly surprised that he even had a second term – not that I approved of Obummer himself, but he did break that particular glass ceiling.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that a woman got as much of the vote as Hillary did. But again, I neither approved of, or voted for the candidate in question.

You gotta take the good stuff with the bad stuff or you’re never going to get any good stuff.

““They” let a black man become president.”, um he was half Black with a very strong upper middle class upbringing. Michelle was Blacker than Barry.
Add in his momma hung with the likes of Suharto.
      Not very Black of Barry.
“Obama was enrolled at the Punahou School, a prestigious preparatory school where his tuition fees were paid with the aid of scholarships.”

Taken from How Obama destroyed Black wealth.

“the Obama presidency was a disaster for middle-class wealth in the United States. Between 2007 and 2016, the average wealth of the bottom 99 percent dropped by $4,500. Over the same period, the average wealth of the top 1 percent rose by $4.9 million.

This drop hit the housing wealth of African Americans particularly hard. Outside of home equity, black wealth recovered its 2007 level by 2016. But average black home equity was still $16,700 lower.

Much of this decline, we will argue, can be laid at the feet of President Obama. His housing policies led directly to millions of families losing their homes. What’s more, Obama had the power — money, legislative tools, and legal leverage — to sharply ameliorate the foreclosure crisis.

He chose not to use it.”

As for Hillary, all one needs do is view here cackling maniacally over Gaddafi’s death.
A Daily Mail article from fall 2017 lists FORTY ONE things Hillary blamed for losing. FOX recently listed Forty Two. She must be taking her meds.

And you weren’t shocked that a woman with her background and policies and revealed theft of voters rights received as many votes as she did?
I may be a bit blind here but how does being a woman enter into this at all? Do people vote for men because they have a penis?
First Hispanic Transsexual Dominatrix running gets my next vote.

      • > And you weren’t shocked that a woman with her background and policies and revealed theft of voters rights received as many votes as she did?

Yes. Not as shocked as I was about Trump – but I was, indeed shocked.

        > how does being a woman enter into this at all?

Because we’ve had 45 presidents, none of which were women.

        > Do people vote for men because they have a penis?

        No, they voted for Trump.

        > Do people vote for men because they have a penis?

        No, they voted for Trump.

Only those lacking penii voted for Jill Stein?

“On Election Day, Stein finished in 4th with over 1.457.216 votes (more than the previous three Green tickets combined) and 1.07% of the popular vote. However, she finished three million votes under Gary Johnson as the Greens once again finished behind the Libertarian Party, though they did gain more votes than Independent candidate Evan McMullin and Constitution Party candidate Darrell Castle.[32]”

Of the remainder which ones got the peepee votes and which the vagazzled?

      • «Only those lacking penii voted for Jill Stein?» As a matter of fact, EvilWizardGlick, the (nominative) plural of the Latin word penis is penes….

Had I enjoyed the franchise in the US, I’d have voted for my colleague Jill Ellen Stein, despite being the bearer of that particular organ (only one, however)….

“As a matter of fact, EvilWizardGlick, the (nominative) plural of the Latin word penis is penes”

        “penii
(nonstandard, proscribed, often humorous) plural form of penis”

        “English citations of penii
1991 August 22, “eiverso”, , “Flat-chested female characters (was Re: Overweight characters)”, rec.arts.comics, Usenet:
To further the comparison, not only are some men’s penii (plural) larger, you can’t exercise a penis to make it bigger (permanently, that is :-)), the same goes for breasts. Breasts and penii can be surgically enlarged.
1993, Rita Mae Brown, Venus Envy, Random House, pp. 239-241:
He delicately poured white lines of cocaine on these erect penii which the white members of the party and crew sniffed.
1994, Fay Ajzenberg-Selove, A Matter of Choices: Memoirs of a Female Physicist, Rutgers University Press, p. 95:
Its [Boston University] campus was filled by a complex of buildings dominated by two towers called by its inhabitants “the twin penii”.
1997 [2004 reprint], Matt Ruff & Tom Stoppard, Sewer, Gas and Electric: The Public Works Trilogy, Grove Press, p. 67:

RANDY: […] The penis cannot be bottled ¶ ASHLEY: Okay, I see, well — ¶ RANDY: No bottled penii. Hilarious!
2004, David Bret, Morrissey: Scandal and Passion, Robson, p. 132:

        2005, Kevin Dole 2, Tangerinephant, Afterbirth Books, p. 27:
The audience as canis: hyenas and jackals, tongue lolling, penii flopping, end over head over end.
2006, May 14, Neva Chonin, “Floppy Joe”, San Francisco Chronicle, p. PK-18:
Hey, I’m talking about penii again, an appropriate topic for the month marking the 150th anniversary of Freud’s birth.

I gather you missed the “peepee” and “vagazzlled” which “penii” is used correctly in it’s humorous form.
Some people just can’t comprehend subtlety.

      • «Some people just can’t comprehend subtlety.» and others, like yourself, my dear «Wizard» claim subtlety as an excuse for being wrong, rather than simply admitting the fact…. 😉

“against a disorganized and unhinged Republican candidate.”
Please his campaign targeted the correct voters. He won. His campaign had a winning strategy. To the best of my knowledge he had little or no Republican support.
Trump pissed off both R’s and D’s. Despite having a continual uphill battle, remember he has only been in office less than a year and a half, he manages to promote his agenda and actually “get things done”.
I’m not much on presidential history but I think he has achieved more in such a short time than the majority have.
    Mostly without support.
Why is a successful businessman, tv personality, and overall success suddenly “unhinged”?
Even Blacks are starting to realize that Democrats do nothing for them. That is NOT due to McCain and company.
People also forget that Trump is the first politician since Eisenhower who was NOT a senator or governor. And the first in a very long time with no association with government agencies like the military.
I predict that by the end of his second term he will have changed American politics drastically. Once again I will repeat the claim he ushers in Single payer.
I’m probably one of the few people to vote for Barry Commoner, and Nader. Die hard third party.
But looking objectively Trump seems to be in firm control.
Next test is a national disaster.
Obama kind of screwed up on that whole Gulf coast thing, much like Bush and Katrina.
C’mon I’ll swim in the poisoned water but you can’t film me.

  • «They blame everyone accept the candidate herself» Isn’t that the so-called «American way», to be defended against all comers ? Those dastardly Russians are blamed for the way the US presidential elections of 2016 turned out, the equally (?) dastardly Chinese are blamed for the deindustrialisering of the US, and those barbaric and ungrateful Afghans have failed to understand that they were defeated 16 years ago….

Mousa: This is Afghanistan… Alexander the Great try to conquer this country… then Genghis Khan, then the British. Now Russia. But Afghan people fight hard, they never be defeated. Ancient enemy make prayer about these people… you wish to hear?

      Rambo: Um-hum.

Mousa: Very good. It says, ‘May God deliver us from the venom of the Cobra, teeth of the tiger, and the vengeance of the Afghan.’ Understand what this means?

Rambo: That you guys don’t take any shit?

      Mousa: Yes… something like this.

  • RE: “Democratic Party has filed a lawsuit against the Republican party, WikiLeaks, and Russia.”

So the DNC has sued, simultaneously, their (winning) opponent in the 2016 race, a news publisher and a sovereign country.

This would be extremely funny if it weren’t so tragic. The originator(s) of this idea should be identified and taken immediately to a psychiatric care hospital before they hurt themselves and/or others.

At least we’ll get a final assessment on the health & integrity of the court system. If this case is not immediately laughed out of the courtroom, then we will know that the courts are as useless as some reports claim.

    • « The originator(s) of this idea should be identified and taken immediately to a psychiatric care hospital before they hurt themselves and/or others.» Alas, falco, as a professional I must inform you that there exist no adequate therapies for this condition. Of course, if you’re talking about merely custodial treatment, to ensure that they don’t harm others, that’s another matter ; but don’t expect a cure….

  • Didja see where Natalia Veselnitskaya (the Russian lawyer to whom DJTJR *tried to peddle influence) has admitted to being a Kremlin operative?

The *only* POSSIBLE explanation is that she’s very sad Hillary lost…

“tried to” vs. “succeeded” – we only have the word of Trump’s son and a Dastardly Russian spy as to what really happened. Just because they already lied just a whole bunch about the meeting doesn’t PRVV that they were lying about that part.

    • If you read what the MSM says she said, and read what she says she said (in Russian, translated by someone who can translate from Russian to English), there is a rather minimal correlation. Of course, the Russian translator might be lying. But look at the track record. The US MSM has lied non-stop since the ’60s (that everyone should know of, plus plenty more before that that’s pretty well suppressed), while we only have the Russian press since around 2000, so not much of a track record, and not at all clear if they lied or not (unless you believe the US MSM, who reiterate that, as the press in a free and democratic country, they all always have to tell the truth–except for Fox–while the Russian press tells nothing but lies).
