Presumably there was similar legal “analysis” for the Tamir Rice killer(s).

The next level will be the claim that people are slaughtered by police in cold blood across America, not in a total breakdown of law and order, but rather, in a generous effort to improve our societal teaching of, and appreciation for, the marvels of advanced cosmological physics. tinyurl.com/ptqdgf9
While this may ensure that no police killers will be indicted, we can be sure that evangelicals will insist that heads of grand jury members literally roll. The “aliens could have done it” theory is truly creative and effective in manufacturing legal doubt, however, it also casts theological doubt on the belief that Americans are Dog’s favorites and that creation happened solely to allow capitalism to flourish in the USA … and on its colonies.
We shall soon see if the need for excuses for the killings of mere humans will be allowed to impinge on that absolute truth.
Once again, Ted, I fear you are judging too harshly – the jury is, after all, there to represent to views of the general population in the area concerned, and most people simply don’t possess the background required to fully understand the intricacies of loop quantum gravity or string theory – why even prosecutors, those protectors of the public good, have been known to miss the more subtle points….
