Ted , I’m wondering if perhaps like myself you may be somewhat of a germaphobe (no offense intended) , and possibly the chemicals or solvent in whatever cleaner /sanitizer you used to wipe down the old radio with, softened up the plastic shell. this happened to me when I used a disinfectant wipe to clean the lenses of some safety glasses ,rendering them useless.I don’t remember the details of the previous post , maybe you talked about this already, I only mention it so you don’t wipe out the new radio

Any guarantee the plastic shell of the replacement radio is any different from the one that prompted your complaint?
@falco: I dunno. Looks the same. Maybe the other one was part of a bad run? Maybe they fixed the problem?
