This is an early release due to the timely nature of this cartoon:
President Obama suggested that My Brother’s Keeper, a broad coalition of backers of local and national leaders in philanthropy, business, government, faith communities, and media that meets periodically at fancy resort hotels to discuss the challenges facing boys and young men of color, might have saved Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old, from being shot to death by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer.

The principled presence of “My Brother’s Keepers” in Fergustan has been inspiring–NOT!
“Fergustan”?
Ten points to Glenn.
“My Brother’s Keepers” could adopt the National Lampoon parody, “Pull the Tegros Negros” as their theme song…
(with no apologies to those satire-impaired folks who will undoubtedly squeal)
Ted,
Why do you have Obama wearing a tie? I just got through as much of his “statement” concerning James Foley. You’d think when you’re talking about something as severe and serious as someone being murdered a a political statement that someone could have found a tie for the president to wear.
You know, like it was something serious.
Enough with this fake-ass BS where the preznit tries to look folksy and humble. He’s a millionaire. He’s a law professor. He’s one of the most highly educated men on the planet. Stop acting like he stepped out of some backwoods swamp like Andy Griffith in “Face in the Crowd.”
And the same for Clinton and both Bushes. Even Reagan was a millionaire. Jimmy Carter at least had the good grace to have once been right on the edge of going bankrupt (he ended up reading up on how to save his farm at the most socialist of all organizations, the public liberry).
sorry. As much of his statement as I could stomach.
