I don’t see what the problem is. Sure there is a physical component to aging, but until things get really bad, most of the important stuff is just in the mind. “A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams” Thus you can be old at twenty (i.e. like me) or never grow old even up to the moment your triple-digit-age heart finally misses a few too many beats.
The only thing that has happened here is you have received invitation to one of the most effective, powerful, and politically active citizen lobbying groups. They generate literature on politics relevant to their membership too. Perhaps they need a cartoonist or another political commentator as well? Can’t hurt to ask, you might get another gig out of it (probably more stable with less chance of abrupt firings in response to acts of good journalism) and if so you will be preaching to a (relative to the rest of the populous) militantly active bunch. I have to wonder if “Frederick Rall” and “Ted Rall” are the same person or if the world of technology converted the two into one.
