Democratic Party has already decided not to have real primaries if Hillart runs. Thus: zero voice for liberals and progressives within the system.

Just cross your fingers that the Republicans nominate a centrist. That will force the dens to tack left to differentiate themselves. I wouldn’t bet on it though. My prediction: Republicans nominate Scott walker. Walker wins. All of us look back fondly on the bush years.
So you’re saying the only way the Dems can win is to move to the left, and that otherwise a more extreme right-wing person will win, because the Dems ran another centrist against him? But they can only win with a left-of-center candidate if the right runs a centrist?
All this tells me is that our whole electoral system is a failure. But I already knew that.
If Hillary runs, she wins, regardless of who the Repubs nominate. I was right about Obama winning, and I’m right about this.
If enough hasn’t happened to sour a majority of voters on Hillary then the country is even worse off than I thought.
@ Jack Heart –
I’m guessing your thoughts about Hillary mean the country is worse off than you suspect.

It is difficult to spit in the direction of a Republican without getting some on a Democrat because they always stand so close together.
Predictions at this point are meaningless; I predict the Democrats will field Chris Christey as their Presidential candidate!
Christey = Christie 🙁
@derlehrer, That should be interesting.
Slightly less likely now that the shenanigans about the George Washington Bridge have been brought to light.
🙁
Democratic apologists like to tell us we have to vote for their wretched candidates because if we don’t, the Republican winner will be worse. They also like to excuse the wretchedness of their candidates by saying there is little they can do because corporate control ties their hands.
But corporate control ties the hands of anyone whose election is dependent on corporate funding. I don’t think these powers would like it if Sara Palin blew up the world, because that would destroy their markets.
Regarding Clinton, that’s pretty disturbing that the Dems think a female repeat of Obama is their best bet. Their voting records were similar, except that Obama was absent from the Senate more frequently, iirc. So this is what the Democrats are now, like it or not. “Vote for us, we’re slightly less horrible.”
“Vote for us, we’re slightly less horrible.”
LOL 😀
