Court upholds NYPD policy that cops take Breathalyzer after firing weapon
The NYPD established the policy, known as Interim Order 52, in the wake of the Sean Bell shooting in 2006. Cops who’d been working undercover in a Queens night club fired 50 bullets into Bell’s vehicle, killing him and wounded two of his companions.

I noticed from the last article you posted (dateline November 18, 2013) that “The three-judge panel also noted that officers aren’t supposed to carry their firearms when they’re drinking.” Very interesting.
