In an interesting sign of how far to the left New York City voters have moved after 12 years of Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the outgoing third term mayor is refusing to endorse his republican successor for fear that it would hobble his campaign among Liberal Democrats.

It took long enough. New York’s provincialism plus arrogance plus political ignorance made for a rather noxious combination. I’d acknowledge that they rarely got decent candidates to choose from, but the continuous shock — “he did what?!” — whenever Bloomberg did something evil grew so tiresome that I lost sympathy. Yes, motherfucker, you voted for all of this.
And you gotta love Bloomberg going out with making a racist comment accusing someone else of being racist merely for not being white. Of course, this is the same piece of shit that happily compares himself to MLK while persecuting blacks and latinos.
