Guest Blogger: Oh George, Where Art Thou?

Right now, George Junior is somewhere celebrating his victory over Saddam Hussein. Just where that “somewhere” is, we don’t know. Have fun in your little hidey-hole, Junior, and don’t forget to wipe off the coke-snot.

  • Should Obama wipe off his coke-snot too?

  • @Ex

The comment wasn’t really meant for you, but I’ll explain: It’s the 10 anniversary of the start of the Iraq War. You can take it from there.

  • Odd, but true: he’s studying painting under Lucian Freud, who is probably the world’s greatest living figure painter.

  • First, you didn’t answer my question. Obama admitted using coke, but apparently he gets a pass.

Second — and more importantly: In almost 20 years of commenting on the web, I have NEVER had my comment altered by someone with admin permissions. Never. Deleted, yes. Altered? Never. Not once.

Yet — my original comment here has been edited, and not by me. There was a second line, which read: “Ted, is this a guest blog?” It was deleted, with only the first line.

Whether this was Ted, or Susan, or someone else: Fuck you. You want to delete use comments, fine. This is a first, and it happened at the last place I would have imagined.
    Fuck you Susan.
    Bye.

  • Also, I’m going to make sure anyone else knows: Your comments will be edited on tedrall.com — so do not use the site. Can’t be trusted.

  • @Russell

That is odd. But then since he can’t make a public appearance without being heckled, he has to fill the void somehow.

  • @Ex,

“Ted, is this a guest blogger?”

Yes, I am a guest blogger. No need to ask Ted that.

    Susan,

I suspect George is at the bottom of a bottle somewhere. That’s a good start. Now, if we could only get him in the jug. …

Ever notice that all his fanboys go crazy about how Dubya overcame drugs by becoming Born Again (TM)? A guy with more financial, professional, educational, and social connections and advantages that 99.999% of the population is praised for “finding the strength” to put down the bottle? But when it’s some ghetto-dwelling single mother of two who’s working minimum wage and dealing with social workers barging in whenever they want who has managed to put down the bottle or the crack pipe it’s a lecture about how the government can’t be giving her a free ride?

  • Yeah Alex – that’s why a person with a bag of weed goes to jail, and an investment banker who drags down the economy and decimates the savings of the poor and retired gets a “bone-us”! My investment banker friend participated in a company meeting to decide on their own “reimbursement” (bonuses) for the year held at the luxurious Phonecian in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Odd, but true: he’s studying painting under Lucian Freud, who is probably the world’s greatest living figure painter.”
Er no: Lucian Freud died in July 2011.

  • Rodger, I did not realize that. I had an art prof who loved the guy 20 years ago but I’ve been out of the art scene a long time.

I read the following in Maureen Dowd’s article on the President’s paintings “I gazed at the former president’s legs and toes in the bathtub, overcome with relief that W. was now under the influence of Lucian Freud rather than Dick Cheney.” I guess I misinterpreted it.

    Anyway, appreciate the correction.
