So the alternative newsweekly in my hometown of Dayton Ohio has graciously done a cover story about me for this week. They also commissioned me to draw the cover. So we decided to go with a photo/illustration montage. They took a photo of me, sent it to me, I printed it out and then drew over it on transparent paper, then I manipulated in Photoshop in order to superimpose it over the original photo. Basically. There’s more to it than that, but that’s the basic stuff.

Was hoping it was from scratch, cuz that’s a pretty good drawing.
Its a neat cover, I like the effect. Was it intentional that the original and underlying picture looks a lot happier then how you drew yourself? Either way it certainly goes with the title.
