By way of my friend and fellow cartoonist Scott Stantis, who just snapped this Occupy in a very small Midwestern town.

Chesterton is is hometown of veteran Vince Emanuele, and his most excellent “Veterans Unplugged” podcast: http://veteransunplugged.com/
You’d like this guy, Ted. It would be awesome if you did an interview on his show.
@aabrown: I’m easy to reach if he wants me!
Power to these people, but the whole point of the various occupation movements is to make the 1% (really the 0.1%) feel fear. I am sure their little Midwestern town is charming and wonderful, but it probably doesn’t have many of the intended people the Occupy movement is hoping to gain the attention of. Thus their solidarity is wonderful and I am sure the occupy movement appreciates it, but their efforts might be a bit more useful and productive in some city with more corrupt wealthy financiers. To protest against.
@someone, You have a point, for sure, but local politicians and bankers are foreclosing and laying off with the best of them. Accountability on the local level is useful too. Not to mention, it’s tough to maintain supply lines from your home to a distant city.
These are the last three OWS protesters as of today. The cops have swept up the rest across the country. Frank Miller blasted the DFHs. OWS is over.
Next time. Next time. Right? We’ll get the bastards. We’ll show ’em. We’ll …… we’ll ……. march and occupy! Booyah! See you next time!
@exkio: Worry not. OWS lives. This raid will strengthen it, reduce its lethargy. They didn’t have any spare room in that squalid park for newcomers, anyway.
