I have just posted a new cartoon auction. The winner gets my services on a cartoon drawn about the topic of their choice.
Recent winners have asked for cartoons about “clean coal,” torture accountability and Ashton Kutcher. The clean coal cartoon went online Wednesday; torture accountability for Bush-era criminals goes up next Wednesday.
The winner gets to choose the topic and reprint the cartoon. She or he also receives the original artwork. The most recent winning bid was $107.
Thanks for supporting my work, and good luck!

On the Antique Road Show one day they had a guy who used to work for the greeting card company that finally got Charles Schultz to agree to do “Peanuts” cards and such. He got to know Schultz a bit and Chuck gave him a few panels of original strips plus a pre-Peanuts one or two as well. I forget the exact figure quoted, but it was in six figures.
If I’m alive a few decades from now I’m going to look back and kick myself for not being able to come up with a few paltry dollars to get an original cartoon from you. And that’s from a purely capitalist money-grubbing point of view 🙂
Esthetically though I’d never part with it, whatever the amount, if I could afford one (sigh) Maybe for my birthday.
Anyhow, listen up folks! You are getting a DEAL and a half, Ten years from now he’ll have a staff of 30 doing his blog for him.
