Interesting that we take for granted that a Serbian war criminal gets a trial while Osama bin Laden simply gets assassinated.
In the greater scheme of things, Serbia is more of a nation of laws than the US.

To be honest, no scenario short of Bin Laden surrendering with a white flag on his own accord would have allowed him to be alive to stand trial. As a terrorist, Bin Laden pretty much had a death wish and the seals assumed Bin Laden would try to shoot back even though he didn’t. I believe that if a member of the seal team was shot during the raid and it was revealed that the order was to take him alive, Obama would have received much more fallout politically. And think about it this way, Obama could have just ordered another bomb dropped instead of a seal raid risking civilian casualties, so in the larger scheme Obama pretty much did the right thing.
Call it an assassination all you want, Bin Laden is dead, good riddance!
Politically, you’re right. Morally and ethically, not even a little.
