Iran doesn’t have to run US healthcare. As long as *any* government is involved it will cost too much and return poor value. Anyone that has ever had to rely on any government agency knows their ineffectiveness compared to the private sector.

  • US 395 knows that private insurance companies do not have their own bureaucracies and he knows that they are very responsive to the needs of their customers.

  • Yes Bryant, that’s why 85% of people who have health insurance are happy with their provider.

  • Care to provide a link to that study, US 395? Sounds like another industry Astroturf effort. Guess we know which sort of people are susceptible to that sort of propaganda.

The studies I saw specifically excluded the cost of insurance from the surveys… who cares about money anyway? Consumer Reports, considered fairly objective, lists only a 64% satisfaction rate. As far as I can tell, the studies include government-run insurance in with private insurance.

So Medicare and programs like Medical are well liked by their users… oh NO! People like government-run health care! Here is a study which confirms that people like government-run insurance better than private:

More nuanced studies show people are mostly satisfied with the care they receive from their personal doctors and some of that satisfaction reflects onto the insurance companies. I must move in the wrong crowds, maybe one in ten of my friends even have insurance, and of those, none are happy.
