Whatever White House security officials deemed a credible threat from Iran prompted the Secret Service to sneak Trump off Air Force One and fly him out of Turkey on a different plane. Staff, Air Force One personnel, and journalists were forced to fly on a decoy plane that might have been a target for destruction.

“Whatever White House security officials deemed a credible threat from Iran” …
That’s the problem with the whole story. It just doesn’t pass the smell test. But it does pass the Donald Trump Playbook test.
CLAIM there was a security risk. Evacuate the president via a catering truck. Fly him out on a second plane. Why? Look at all the coverage this has gotten. Who knows WHAT other things have been going on while the media covers this ad nauseam because it’s the heat-and-serve easy story to produce.
Like Roy Cohn taught him, sometimes you lie just for the hell of it. Do something crazy so that no one really knows your agenda.
That everyone on the plane was “still” a target? Nope. If they were, why wasn’t the plane shot down? Because this was all part of the kayfabe kabuki Trump excels at.
Still, it would have been interesting to see if Trump could have done this.
