Largely unspoken by Democrats is the open secret that Joe Biden is suffering both physically and mentally from the effects of aging. He seems unlikely to finish his full term and vice president Kamala Harris is an extremely ambitious person. How long will he last?

I laughed out loud at this one, Ted. But I’m thinking it might be more correct to assert that, um, Biden’s first term won’t survive his first term.
Two items from the, sigh, New York Times: (Top Contenders for Biden’s Cabinet Draw Fire From All Sides and Biden Expected to Name Top Economic Officials This Week).
The first item’s third paragraph lists competence sixth out of eight: “…requiring him to navigate tricky currents of ideology, gender, racial identity, party affiliation, friendship, competence, personal background and past employment.” Is the Times slipping in some journalism when they indicate that over in Bidenville, competence is trumped by ideology? Is the Times actually trying to warn us about the oncoming shitstorm of identity politics over ability during a global depression and pandemic?
The second item’s tone reminds me of James Watt’s line from the Reagan era about an advisory panel being balanced because it had ”a black, a woman, two Jews and a cripple.” Watt got raked over the coals for that one. But it seems to be Holy Writ in the Biden camp.
Once Biden takes office, I’m going to have to give him his six months’ grace period before criticizing him. But for now? He’s already screwing up. Or rather, his owners are.
You have to wonder why he wanted the job, or why Hillary Clinton wanted the job. It is as if they have been focused on getting the job for so many decades that they can’t change their mind. However, Biden didn’t stand last time around (when Hillary was the designated Democrat). It is quite sad that people went along with his last campaign when he really isn’t the sharpest tool in the box. How he speaks is nothing like how he spoke four years ago. It is also odd how unusually blind people are to his mental decline.
Your observation that he is a single term president is something that has not been widely noted.
He’s like FDR after Yalta. At least Kamala is standing by and preparing to assume the position. Harry hid out in the Senate and was blindsided.
The weasel strikes again: Not only posts are deleted because of dissent, but also when they bring up new ideas that could be used for cartoons to come…
When is Pelosi scheduled to be featured?
Ted Rall, ban, baby, ban!!!
Kudos for a bright response. Shall we call it off now?
A quick explanation: Some of my posts had been heavily “moderated”, being held for several days before their release. Three of them never made it. So I became slightly upset.
