We Take Away Rights From Children, Never Grant New Ones
Prosecutors like to try children as adults. But they never offer children the privileges of adults.

Not to worry, Ted ! The prosecuted child will no doubt be an adult when – and if – he comes out of prison (if not a retiree) and thus be able to enjoy those «adult» privileges…. 😉
The same people who believe people on welfare take ski vacations with the money at places like Aspen also figure, if the state decides to try a child as an adult, the child must deserve it.
The statistics show that trying children as adults doesn’t work, recidivism is much higher, they just learn from the adults in adult prisons how to be better, more vicious criminals.

It’s a good strategy to takes rights from children.
It’s easier to take rights from adults who have been accustomed to life without rights as children.

But surely, Michael, if the so-called «criminal justice system» produces «better» criminals, it must be considered a success ?… 😉
