Keep in mind, in the 1950s, McCarthy perfected cancel culture. The Red Scare almost ended Lucille Ball’s career.
Indeed, right-wing canceling too often costs its victims their jobs, careers, homes, or lives. The left-wing “we won’t let you give a speech at this event at this university” cancellation is paltry in comparison.

As usual, it was the Dems that created this environment where atrocious behavior is deemed acceptable and as usual it’s the Dems who cry foul when it’s weaponized against them
