What about it? He got elected anyway, while the runner-up with more votes was a middle-right corporate shill. It’s just not sexy or unusual.

This cartoon is the perfect encapsulation of the excellently moderated interview with Marcy Wheeler on the Real News Network.
The more they dug into Nixon, the uglier it got – and most people stopped at the Watergate break-in or maybe at what they were trying to hide in the first place (breaking into Daniel Ellsberg’s shrink’s office for Christ’s sake). Dig even deeper and you get to COINTELPRO, i.e. straight politician assassination. In contrast, the Trump-Russia connection seems to get ever lamer the deeper they dig – what gets revealed seems to be mostly the sheer inanity of this bunch.
