The DHS is trying to get information on anti-ICE account comments from social media sites. I read it in the New York Times.
Let’s all keep in mind, the government already has all that information. Every single message is right out there when you post it, so they’re capturing it the second it hits the internet. The “request” is simply designed to scare people who weren’t paying attention. The Times also had a story about Meta glasses and how people are recording you everywhere — at the restaurant you work at, at the restaurant you eat at, at the restaurant you were coming out of … . Of course, anyone who has eyes knows that CCTVs are already doing that in so many locations that you really don’t have any chance of going anywhere “secretly” anymore, be that your mistress’ house or the local resistance cell meeting at the Haufbrau. And don’t get me started on smartphones.
Opinion, privacy, security, it’s all gone. We’re all living in a glass fishbowl. And, like, whatevs, Gen Z — the first dumber-than-the-prior generation — just keeps scrolling. As do the boomers, the millennials, etc.
Not only did he get in the way of law enforcement … but did you hear the stuff he was saying???
