Other Countries Using Drones to Kill Our President? That’ll Never Happen

Nothing embodies the law of unintended consequences more than weapons systems. When drones were first introduced as possible battlefield tools, contractors said that there was nothing to worry about in terms of them being converted into weapons systems. They would only be used for surveillance. Now we’re using them to kill top government officials.

  • Any drone-assisted assassination of a US government official (or candidate?) would most likely be performed by a CIA/pentagon “partnership” but blamed on the devil du jour.

Would such attempt be pinned on the top 15 (perhaps 20) officers of the Russia military general staff, instead of the mere 12 blamed in Russia/RTP©-gate, … with the hopes of it thereby being more credible?

Other countries? Ted, you mentioned two or three years ago that the drones in question are now available for about $300 and can be owned by private citizens. You don’t need to be a genius to outfit such a drone with a remote-control handgun. Fly up behind someone you don’t like, click the mouse, fly away, end of problem.
And speaking of such mayhem, assuming the court takes your side and you do get to go to California for a trial against the LAPD/LA Times … be very careful how you arrive. I wouldn’t put it past them to have your plane held at the gate until either you miss your own trial or they can have you “escorted” off the plane and your luggage searched (at which point they’ll find all that cocaine and child porn stashed in your signed-by-bin Laden copy of the Qu’ran that you were traveling with at the time).

  • World leaders in recent centuries have managed to put the little people into situations where they each (patriotically) kill each other.

New technology is now putting world leaders back onto the front lines of wars they now, at a comfortable remove, organize among each other’s little (inconsequential, to them) people.

Will world leaders be as pro-war once they find themselves targeted as front line combatants in the wars of their own making?

Any nation that unilaterally disarms itself will become a target of domination by armed psychopaths.

I propose the Oppenheimer Peace Prize as a replacement for the Nobel Peace Prize because dynamite has been proven to make wars more vicious instead of unthinkable.

Future World Wars will become unthinkable when war’s initiators find themselves defenseless before and on the front line of the wars they would make.

  • «What if other countries use them too ?» Not to worry, Ted – they will.

O brave new world. That has such machines in’t !
