President Trump claims he has already obliterated Iran’s nuclear program and other infrastructure, yet he also claims he must continue bombing Iran in order to destroy those same exact targets. At this rate, when will he overshoot and bomb all the way through the Earth to himself?

Shortly after the rant depicted above, Trump then threatened to obliterate the entire Iranian civilization (at ten times the temporal extent of that of the US) thus making the linguistic leap from a crafty deal maker, to repeating essential war criminal self-incrimination, closing with recitation of the genocidal yearnings of a nuclear terrorist.
Someone close to him apparently got him to ingest a large dose of Donny Downers, so we are still here to comment. But don’t expect the surprise 2-week ceasefire to last anywhere near that long. Even if the Don keeps on his course of tranquilizers, the calm in the Persian Gulf is completely dependent on the whim of Netanyahu who has made a grisly career of turning the (usually immediate) violation of ceasefires into a cruel and depraved sport. Presumably there’s a generous gift awaiting public service to US plausible deniability.
At this point, it’s clear. Trump is either setting up the ground work for a claim of “I can’t be held accountable, I’m legally insane,” or is, in fact, legally insane.
But, as Hannibal Lecter explains to Clarice Starling, when she says that Buffalo Bill kills women, “that’s incidental.” Whether Trump is faking or whether he genuinely is crazy as a soup sandwich, he is incidental to what must happen now. Impeachment proceedings must begin. He must be removed from office as soon as possible. The democrats, the whole worthless batch of grifters that they are, have to crawl out of the gutter, hose off the filth, stop their insider trading and cozening up to the elites and billionaires, and force this issue by any means necessary.
Shut down the entire government. Block everything until Trump is removed from office. Hold Nuremberg-style trials on his entire administration as soon as feasible.
Trump’s bombing, alright. If this were vaudeville, the audience would be pelting him with eggs and rotten tomatoes, and he would be getting hooked off the stage.
He and Netanyahu have gotten themselves into a situation where, even if they win (pound Iran into a pulp that is incapable of striking back or defending itself) they lose, in the court of world opinion and trust. Nobody is going to trust either country ever again. As for the “cease-fire,” well, we should all know by now that, to Israel, “cease fire” means “YOU cease fire–we keep on firing,” especially as they attempt to claim the deal doesn’t apply to the Israel-Hezbollah conflict in Lebanon. Like the struggle in Ukraine, the US has already lost, but will keep fighting until out of ammo or money–both of which may happen sooner than anybody anticipates.
