With ACA subsidies expiring and neither party serious about creating a real medical insurance system, healthcare is becoming as much of a luxury status purchase as a Rolex or a Rolls-Royce.

It ought to be interesting to see how many people die as a result of this. Or, even worse, go broke. Imagine the irony if one or all of Mangione’s jurors (or their family or friends) fall ill. “I was gonna vote guilty until my sister got the $53,000 bill for her son’s broken leg.”
Alas, that $53,000 bill will be taken as a sign that Soros and the elite, woke, deep state regulators have destroyed the medical industry, and the juror will feel sympathy for UnitedHealthcare. (And also will vote at upcoming elections for the further dismantling of government and medical regulations).
This is mostly already the case. Leading cause of bankruptcy in America is medical bills, right? Insurance company stocks did better than tech stocks for most of the 2010s after Obamacare was passed. Keeping Americans sick is bipartisan.
