Ted Rall’s cartoon calls out the media for covering up and deflecting Biden’s mental decline— hilariously and absurdly while promising to investigate who was responsible. Outlets like The Washington Post—whose reporters and editors had to have known the truth the whole time—are vowing to find who concealed Biden’s condition, as our trust in institutions continues to erode.

The Washington Post, The New York Times, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN. The list goes on and on. These are the A listers. Considering how incestuous (and not the sexy “Flowers in the Attic” or “Game of Thrones” kind) the Beltway power structures are, it can’t be dismissed as just a “mistakes were made” or “everyone was asleep at the switch” kind of thing. democrats inside the White House would have been sending up balloons. “Say, David. How are you? And your biceps? All manly? Great. Great. Wow. You’re up 4 points with midwestern hausfraus? Excellent. Say, hypothetically. if Joe Biden was out of mind … Oh, I’ve got Dr. Jill on line 6.”
Media whoring is nothing new and is, in fact, a global phenomenon. I don’t recall any foreign ‘journalist’ denouncing Biden’s inability to govern, before it became fashionable to do so.
Ironically, Trump was one of the few consistently exposing it, which positioned him -in Rall’s ‘logic’- as a stout defender of ‘democracy’.
But -as usual- Rall is off the point: Instead of critically examining ‘democracy’ -particularly the US version- he often indulges in blindly praising it.
Now, let’s face it: aside from the phrase ‘We, the people,’ the US system of government could, at best, be described as a plutocracy.
Then, given the global consequences of its policies, the real question is why US ‘democracy’ should be preserved at all.
Long live AI!
I’ll offer this to the echo chamber. Rush Limbaugh (I know, gasp.. stick with me) used to note how the media would marvel at how well Clinton lied to them. His point being, yeah, and you guys made it plenty easy. Same deal here
