Which Joe Biden should voters believe? The one who, for many years, was a pro-lifer who was so extreme that he voted against federal funding for abortions even in the case of rape, incest and the life of the mother? Or the current one who says he would codify Roe v. Wade if he got the chance — which, of course, Obama chose not to do while Biden was vice president.

Ha! Trick question. Which Joe Biden to believe? None of them. I cannot assert with certainty that he was always a bald-faced liar, but his career as a serial plagiarist began in 1965 when he was a law student who apparently didn’t understand the rules of citation (which I guess did not exist in the college he attended either). I still cannot grasp how Biden won the primaries. I just cannot fathom how so many people fell for his malarkey.
It’s only two weeks to the midterms. Won’t that be something to see?
Codifying Roe vs. Wade is a bandage, a nice bandage but it will be ripped apart as soon the republican’s gain enough seats in congress and the White House.
A constitutional amendment is best solution, but the voters would have to flip several state legislatures to pass it
A turnover of few Supreme Court seats could reset things, if a few slightly left leaning justices could made through the approval processes, that look like another long shot.
Sad to say it might be better to have states decide rather than a congress that could flip the law every election or two. If states decide at least some states will let choice rule and provide assistance to those that can’t pay.
Why fulfill THAT promise? The actual loss of Roe is probably generating more donations now, from (apparently) brain dead “liberals,” than did its mere threat of loss … for some 48 years.
Of course, any codification can’t happen before the next congress, so the hope of codification of Roe is thought to be a boost to Dem candidates in the upcoming midterms. Have we discussed the apparent anti-meritocracy the ultra-treacherous Dems have so insidiously established for themselves?
Do you think, just possibly, that the democrat voters have finally added it all up? Finally looked at yet another black eye and split lip in the mirror and figured out that the party is not good for them? I think enough of them have. Losing Roe was bad. The democratic “I’m broke, send more money” response was even worse. We’ll know in a week.
