They should have tried to nail him on emoluments or the January 6th riot. The GOP should have denied him a spot back in 2016, forced him to run as an independent. Cowardice and a need to always win sunk that and they are lashed to each other like Ahab and the White Whale (and Trump is Moby Dick….the Party is along for the ride.)
