  • There’s an old tech-support diagnosis, “The problem exists between the keyboard and the chair.” So long as humans are using the computer, they will do stupid things.

Luckily, I can protect you and your computer from hackers – simply send me your bank account number and monther’s maiden name …

  • The lady in the cartoon is more than usually considerate – the retirees I help with their computer problems generally threaten to throw their machines out the window, irrespective of the danger to the lives of passersby below….. 😉

  • Naturally it is only at the front-end where security is beefed up.

It goes right to the top of my list of “best I-net quotes.”

I would only ask that we not limit “their” to high tech only but take this formulation as the essence of the capitalist business model.

      • If you liked this line – why not join our complimentary a-quote-a-month membership program?

Please state your credit card number, mac-address of your phone, and your mother’s maiden name 😉

    • «Your back-end penetrability is their business model.» Thieves crying «Stop thief !», as in the current US government accusations against a competitor they seem unable to match….
