Democrats had to give up a few things to get a vote from West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin. One of them was planet earth. Because he is from a major coal-producing state, they had to water the climate change initiative down to nothing.

The proposal went from essentially a coal industry phase-out to tax breaks for coal and other fossil fuel corps. Who said Dems (i.e. Manchin) can’t negotiate!!! Details @ https://tinyurl.com/55z7yd87 at about 4:50-7:15 min.
I’m reading “All the Troubles of Our Days” by Rebecca Donner. The book’s a little bit rambling, but there’s plenty of details that make it worth the read. One point is how the author mentions that Hindenburg was senile. The other is how the Nazis maneuvered, playing the system against itself to take absolute power in six months.
I watch senile Smilin’ Joe, I watch how he gutted (then gutted again) the Build Back Better bill to a shell of itself (and thus doomed to fail at even what little it does promise), and I watch how Biden’s supporters attack all who criticize De(a)r Leader.
Trump STILL hasn’t been indicted. And now he and his gang have so poisoned the waters that any evidence will be dismissed by his followers out of hand as fabricated. If anything, indicting Trump will incite them further, possibly to violence.
I really think we’re already over the crest and are just going to start picking up speed from this point forward.
Bunny ears! That’s funny!
